OK, let's get started.
We just watched an interview with Howard Zinn on the Daily Show. His book, Voices of a People's History of the United States (Amazon | Indigo) sounds interesting. It's a history of America told (paraphrasing Zinn) by Indians who wouldn't be slaughtered, workers who went on strike for 8 hour days, women who wouldn't be put down, black people who wouldn't be oppressed, and so on.
